About Daycare Advantage

Located in historic Swedesboro, NJ, Daycare Advantage is the nation's only organization dedicated to reducing the cost of raising children while at the same time, supporting the advancement of high quality early childhood education. Through an alliance of families, childcare centers, and merchants, Daycare Advantage has helped to unite a fragmented childcare industry.

The company offers several innovative programs including a membership that provides tuition discounts at participating childcare centers and the iCare Rewards program which helps parents pay for family-related expenses-including childcare! Childcare centers must pass a quality assessment before joining, thus supporting recent research suggesting that early childhood experiences are vital to a child's future. In addition, childcare centers in our network gain access to our dynamic benefits program, which entitles the center and its staff to special pricing, health insurance, and discounts not available to them anywhere else.

History

Founded by Drs. James & Jennifer Lavender, the company originated out of their frustration with identifying and paying for quality childcare for their three small children. As childcare consumers, the Lavenders quickly realized three problems inherently associated with childcare: (1) Identifying a "quality" childcare center was more difficult then it seemed; (2) The cost of "quality" childcare was high; and, (3) There was no assistance for families with childcare expenses. As a result, they wanted to create a system that better identified quality programs and assisted with childcare tuition costs. The founders envisioned that such a system would empower childcare consumers with access to quality childcare centers and business partners efficiently, effectively, and economically. Using their formal knowledge of early childhood education and personal experiences with childcare, the Lavenders founded Daycare Advantage.
