Childcare Discount Program (Advantage Plus Membership) FAQ:

How does the childcare tuition discount work?

The tuition discount is ONLY offered to new enrollment at participating childcare centers. Therefore, you should only purchase an Advantage Plus membership if you are looking for childcare for the first time, or are looking to change the program your child currently attends. If you are looking to enroll your child in childcare follow these steps:

  1. Find a participating childcare center using our quality childcare locator (Save On Childcare button at top).
  2. View the offered discount on the childcare centers webpage.
  3. Verify on center's webpage that they have open slots available for iCare for Families/Daycare Advantage members.
  4. Inform childcare center director you are a member during first contact to receive the discount. Always verify discount availability with director.
  5. The director will verify your membership.
 
How does it work if I have more than one child?

We do not charge extra for additional children. However, each childcare center has individual offers. Many only extend the discount to the first child or do not allow the discount to be combined with existing sibling discounts. Use our childcare locator to view participating childcare centers individual offers on each center webpage.

Why couldn't I find a participating childcare center in my area?

We are expanding rapidly across the country and expect to have Childcare Partners in every state by 2009. Check back periodically as we are launching new regional campaigns monthly. If you join as an Advantage Member and a childcare center you were interested in is added later, you can always upgrade your membership. If you know of a quality childcare center anywhere across the United States that may be interested in joining NOW please have them enroll online or contact us for more information.

Are tuition discounts given weekly, monthly or yearly?

You will receive the advertised discount on an annual basis as long as you remain an Advantage Plus member. However, the discount is applied according to the childcare center's normal billing cycle. Please speak to the center directly or visit their webpage as each facility has different billing arrangements.

What if I decide to unenroll my child from the childcare center I was receiving the tuition discount from?

If you enroll your child in another participating childcare center, you will receive that centers advertised discount for the remainder of your Advantage Plus membership. Once you renew your membership, you will continue receiving the discount. Should you enroll your child in a non-participating center, you will not receive a discount at that center or refund.

Are the discounts good for before and after school and summer programs?

Before and after school and summer programs are included in our network. Use the Childcare Locator to find participating programs.

How do participating childcare centers know I am an Advantage Plus member?

The director of the center will ask to see and photocopy your membership card. If you have not received your card yet, they can also call our member verification hotline or use a special online member verification feature. You must renew your membership annually to continue receiving the tuition discount.

Will the childcare center know when my Advantage Plus membership expired?

Yes. The center director keeps a record of your membership expiration. In addition, Daycare Advantage notifies the childcare center of membership expiration. You will have to provide them subsequent renewal information to continue receiving the tuition discount.

How do I know the facilities in your network are safe?

All centers were state licenced according to the licensing agency of the state the center is in as of March 2007. It is possible that errors existed in that state's records. It is the parents responsibility to verify all license information and do their own research to decide which center is best for your child. What is the procedure/requirements for a childcare center to join your network?

Only centers that we believe to be state licensed, center based childcare programs are invited to join.

Are all of the childcare centers that come up on the childcare locator part of the network?

No. Participating childcare centers are identified by having a sun next to them in search results. However, any childcare center that comes up on the search was state licensed as of March 2007 according to records from each individual state.

Does your program monitor the childcare centers?

We do not monitor the centers. It is the parents responsibility to verify the center's state licence is current.

What if childcare center changes the discount offered on their webpage?

You receive the discount that was offered at the time of your child's enrollment. We cannot force a center to honor the discount, however, if a center does not honor the advertised discount, they will be removed from our program and the parent may be refunded.

What if I have a complaint about the childcare provider I use from your network?

What actions are taken when a complaint is made about a childcare center in your network?

We will investigate the complaint. If complaint is valid and problem is not corrected, the centers affiliation with us will be terminated.
