Quality Counts
Quality Matters When It Comes to Our Children!
Parents rely on childcare not only to enable them to work, but also to provide early education experiences that help prepare their children for life. Recent research suggests that quality childcare programs enhance the development of young children. In fact, studies have found that compared to children who attended lower quality childcare, children who participated in high-quality childcare programs:
- Demonstrate better math & language skills
- Develop better interpersonal relationships
- Develop stronger behavioral self-regulation
- Have higher lifetime incomes
Bottom line, activities that infants, toddlers, and preschool students engage in can shape the way they think, learn, and behave for the
rest of their lives.
Unfortunately, some parents do not know what quality childcare programs look like. Even for families who can identify a quality program, the time and effort required to do so can be frustrating.
Daycare Advantage Leads the Way
Daycare Advantage has taken the lead in making childcare decisions a little easier. Using our educational background, we developed the Early Learning Self-Assessment (ELSA) to give parents an additional tool when evaluating centers. Childcare centers in our network must pass the 40 question ELSA in order to be a part of our network. When you search for childcare using our nationwide locator, childcare centers in our network:
- Are Displayed first in the results
- Marked with our logo next to them
- Have scored at least 80% on the ELSA
Participating childcare centers will also display a Daycare Advantage window decal at each location.
